We’re now in September summer is coming to an end and it’s JTi Friday time!

Alas the summer is drawing to an end and it’s back to school time, but hopefully we can still look forward to some sunny days. In America September is also the time the hunting season starts, which brings us to today’s JTi Friday offering,

At Just Think we’ve come across this video on YouTube ‘Hunter shoots a bear’, don’t worry it’s not quite what it appears to be. For a start the video is from the correction product company Tippex. What has Tippex got to do with bear hunting? Click the image below and you will find out.

There is also an intro video on YouTube which does feature explicit language so not advisable to view while at work. You can view the video by clicking this link NSFW Hunter Shoots a Bear.

Coca Cola installed a very unique vending machine in an American College. It contained a variety of unusual products unlikely to appear in a typical vending machine, including a 4 foot long sandwich. The reactions of the students were captured on camera and uploaded online. The video was viewed over 1 million times in one week.

This social media campaign is pretty well-known, having attracted 1 million members to its Facebook initiated campaign, beating 2009 X-Factor winner Joe McElderry to the Christmas Number One single top spot!

Most of you watch the X-Factor, or hear about the hype surrounding it. The X-Factor has 66 1.4 million fans on Facebook, and 66 thousand plus followers on Twitter, who are part of the online X-Factor community. Plan Your Strategy Before Your Website

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Planning your internet marketing strategy is important before you design and implement a new website for your business. However, most small businesses are doing this wrong. They build their website and then try to figure out how to generate leads online.

Choosing a web development company to design and build your website is not always the best option for a business’ internet marketing results. They may have the ability to launch the website, set up an adwords campaign, launch a blog and maybe do some e-mail marketing, but may not have the ability or expertise to use this to market your business. Without an internet marketing strategy to give the campaign some direction and targets to aim towards, the internet marketing implemented by a web development company may be inefficent and ineffective.

Just Think is an internet marketing agency, with a great wealth of knowledge and expertise behind it. We provide a range of internet marketing services, including e-mail marketing, SEO, web development and adwords campaigns, and we have the knowledge to implement an internet marketing strategy to develop your internet marketing successfully.

Make sure that if you want to market your business online, you choose the right expert to help you…Just Think!

Your Social Media Health Check: Tips 1-7

Monday, August 16th, 2010

It’s back to Monday morning again, and we are thinking about things that you may want to know. Our first Question and Answer session last Thursday on Twitter proved successful, and we answered questions you wanted to know about internet marketing. I came across an article recently about making sure that your social media policy is healthy, and there is more about this below.

Having and executing a social media policy is vital, but being able to gauge its success and measure it, and checking that it remains vibrant and healthy is also vital.

1.) Have a goal- This will dictate what you do, and also how you measure what you do. If your goal is to increase awareness of your company/brand, metrics like reach, readership and engagement with content are areas that you should be interested in keeping track of.

2.) Get your departments on the same page- If your company has different departments, align them towards a common goal. Understand what goals are important to each department and use strategies that can measure the metrics of each that make sense.

3.) Always consider context- The metrics for each social media campaign are not useful without context. Look at the metrics overtime and inside a competitive landscape.

4.) Select your platform wisely- Select the right tool for the job. Aspects to consider when selecting a platform include data, reports, actionable insights, budget and ease of use.

5.) Conduct a full social media audit- Once you have selected your platform, conduct a full audit with the metrics you are using. Take note of where you and your competitors are, and use this as a baseline against which you will measure at least once a month.

6.) Did deeper in your channels- Start by measuring the volume of conversation in aggregate, across all channels. You should evaluate performance by channel for yourself and for your competitors to find which sectors are performing well, and to dig deeper and to give your numbers context.

7.)Do A/B testing- If you have a couple of social media campaigns on the go, you are likely to be curious about what content is getting the best response. Social media measurement can help you conduct the right analysis to figure out which method is working best. Remember, don’t forget to experiment and always measure!
